About Us

Ambere Cunningham was born and raised in Basalt, Colorado and is now living in the Roaring Fork Valley offering a unique blend of healing arts including Massage and Yoga Therapy. She specializes in sports and injury massage.

Ambere’s journey into holistic healing came on the heels of an ambitious athletic career. She played Division 1 soccer at West Virginia University where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and is a lifelong mountain athlete who loves skiing, biking, and hiking. She discovered Bikram Yoga in 2005, that led her into a journey of holistic healing.

“After years of intense training for soccer, Bikram Yoga brought balance back into my life,” she says. “I demanded more of my body than I was able to give back to it. I had no idea about the mind body connection and how important it is to maintaining health, and also being able to perform, not just in sports, but in all aspects of my life.”

Ambere received her massage therapy education from MountainHeart School of Body work in Crested Butte, Colorado. She became a licensed massage therapist in the state of Colorado in 2011.  She is now offering customized body work and massage that combines all of her training into a unique blend of massage therapy and yoga. You can find Ambere practicing massage therapy and teaching private yoga lessons at her home office in El Jebel, view map. Since 2012 she has been working with Dr. Eileen Macfarlane at  Two Rivers Chiropractic in Basalt. During her time working at the chiropractic office she has become very skilled at helping people with a wide variety of injuries. She also has experience with high end clients from her 3 years of employment at the 5 star, Little Nell hotel in Aspen.

Ambere has been teaching yoga since June 2007 when she received her Bikram yoga certification. Her love of yoga led her to become one of the founding partners of Aspen Synergy, a group of yoga instructors who led yoga retreats to beautiful Tulum and Sayulita, Mexico. After 7 years of teaching yoga in a classroom she is now focusing on one on one lessons which really helps her connect to the students specific needs. Ambere is also trained in partner yoga, Synergy, which combines Thai Massage, partner stretching, and yoga. “Synergy has so many applications for group building–it’s a very unique combination that breaks down barriers and opens up communication, but it’s also playful, invigorating, and healing.”
